OUR STORY
Bringing the colorful passion of collegiate spirit was the owner’s, Laura Malkawi's, goal when founding Stone Armory. She remembers going to her first football game at The Ohio State University, where over 100,000 fans filled the stadium, and the spirit that emanated throughout the entire game.
Each college charm, bead, and jewelry takes an extraordinary amount of time to design and paint. It is her goal to capture the passion of an entire stadium in each design. These fine pieces of jewelry allow college fans of all ages to "arm" themselves with their team spirit.

Laura attended The Ohio State University and always desired to have her own business. She loved attending Business Builder’s Club meetings to help with meeting this passion. This business is a dream brought to reality, as she loves college football and being able to travel to all the states, visiting the universities and meeting the people who live there. She wants all future entrepreneurs to know her first piece of advice is to just start and do what you can. After almost three years, Stone Armory still has ways to grow!

Laura
Laura’s focus is design, marketing and everything else. She loves traveling and especially loves visiting different states and meeting people in our amazing country. Her favorite state to visit is Michigan with a particular love for Northern Michigan beaches. Ironically, she is an Ohio State graduate, which causes a particular conundrum. Her favorite hobbies include spending time with family and friends, kiteboarding and finding “secret” beaches up in Michigan.
Kelsey
Hello! My name is Kelsey and I’m pretty sure there’s not enough room here for me to tell you all about myself, but I can say the most important. I absolutely love to travel, explore, and learn about new cultures. I believe this stems from my love for books and the new adventures I get to experience through each new story. As an artist I tend to be very creative and this has helped me with every job I have had so far. Which leads me to Stone Armory. My job here allows me to show my creativity and also allows me to travel. As the marketing minion I help with social media, listings, emails, tradeshows, designs, and so much more! My lovely coworkers and I all help with shipping and customer service. I even get to go pick up our food when we get hungry. We really are a close knit family here at Stone Armory and I truly value that every day of work really doesn’t feel like work at all! When 6 pm hits everyone at the office is still working and we do not even notice that it is time to go home. Stone Armory is my home away from home and I enjoy every minute of my time and contributions to our small family business!
Judi
Our wholesale rep who helps our wonderful stores keep their Stone Armory jewelry stocked. Judi is the mother of two children, an Autistic boy and a girl who has given her 5 or the cutest, dearest grandchildren. Judi likes to be creative with crafts and decorating fancy cakes. Her hobbies, when she finds the time, are quilting baby crib comforters and comforters for larger beds and lap quilts. Her therapy is baking and her passion is eating her baked goods.
